玉峰窯Gyokuhou Kiln
創業は昭和26年
当時は三川内山の奥に窯を構えておりました。創業者は先々代にあたる中里金吾。ろくろをひくことを最も得意としており、割烹食器、美術品などを創っておりました。
現在の地に移ったのは昭和59年になってからのことです。割烹食器、美術品などはもちろんですが、家庭用の一般食器も商品ラインナップに加わり幅広く対応しております。
先々代、先代から引き継いだ技術を大事にしながら今日の玉峰窯があります。
三川内焼Mikawachiyaki
三川内（みかわち）は長崎県佐世保市にあります。三川内皿山・木原皿山・江永皿山の三つの地区に窯元が集中しており、三川内三皿山と呼ばれています。
豊臣秀吉の朝鮮の役は別名、焼き物戦争と呼ばれ、当時（1598年）の二十六代平戸藩主が朝鮮より連れ帰った陶工の一人、巨関（こせき）が平戸・中野で窯入れをしたのが始まりといわれています。しかし良質の陶石が近くになかったため、巨関とその息子今村三之丞は陶石を探し求め、最後に三川内に落ち着きました。
第28代平戸藩主の命により三之丞は三川内山に藩用窯を開き、その後皿山役所の出張所を木原山と江永山に設け、それが三川内三皿山の発祥です。
南蛮交易が盛んだった頃は､有田焼と同様に多くの三川内焼が輸出されました。しかし藩用窯だったため江戸幕府が倒れると存亡の危機に立たされました。藩窯から民窯に転じる努力は並大抵ではなく、豊島政治が再建に乗りだします。販路の拡張、伝承の技を守るため意匠伝習所が創設されました。
伝承所の指導のもと三川内焼の優れた技術は、若い陶工たちに受け継がれ今日に至っています。三川内焼の芸術性は高い評価を得ており、国の伝統的工芸品にも指定されています。
Mikawachi ware
Mikawachi ware is a Japanese porcelain from Mikawachi, Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
It is also known as Hirado ware and renowned for its exquisite underglaze blue painting.
Mikawachi ware dates back to the building of a kiln by Korean potters who were brought back to this area by landowners in Kyushu who had participated in Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s campaign to the Korean Peninsula in 1598.
Records show that a kiln was first opened at Mikawachi in 1622, and this small village became the center of production for the fine porcelain initially for the exclusive use of feudal lord, then later for commercial distribution.
The kilns used to fire porcelain for the feudal lord up to the Meiji Restoration in 1868.

昭和54年より作陶活動に入る。
子供の頃から窯場を遊び場としておりましたが、十代になると焼き物に反発を覚え（笑）、高校は窯業科のあることで全国的にも有名な有田高等学校に入学しましたが、選んだ科は機械科でした。卒業後は改心して（？）焼き物の道を進むことを決心しました。
当初は磁器をメインとしておりましたが陶器（土もの）にシフトし改めて磁器のおもしろさが見え、陶器にある温かさ・味わいを磁器に取り入れた器づくりを心がけております。
本物だけが持つ使い込まれたときの美しさを出せるよう器づくりを目指しております。
また三川内焼の伝統でもある染付にこだわり、日々精進しております。
Mineyuki Nakazato
Mineyuki Nakazato is a Japanese ceramist born in 1961 as the eldest son of Gyokuhou kiln in Mikawachi, Nagasaki. He studied at Arita Industry High School and started creating ceramic works after graduation. He cares about handmade and hand painted pieces and developed a distinctive style of porcelain with soft and warm finish of earthenware. Classic with a modern twist is his style, also with functional shape and design.
My works
I specialize in Sometsuke (blue and white ware) and all of my works are handmade and hand painted. That is why there are slight irregularities in shape and size which are part of their charm. Pattern layout varies by piece and you can find your favorite “one of a kind”.
After starting my career focusing on porcelain, I shifted to earthenware for some time. Porcelain is white and glassy while earthenware is soft and natural. My porcelain incorporates beauty and warmth of earthenware. Based on the traditional technique, I create porcelains that are “classic with a modern twist”.
